The first version of Twins crew
started out fall 2005. Dennis and David Janglöv, Magnus Lind, Jonas
Hultberg and Pontus Duvsjö, which all went to the same High school at
nynäshamns gymnasium decided to start a heavy metal band. The first
name of the band was Lost Spirits. But after the first show at Tumba
Twins mc they decided to change the name to Twins crew.
All of the guys graduated 2005 and went different ways.
Dennis and David packed their bags and went to Hollywood in USA to
attend the famous Musicians institute. They attended the 1,5 year
program in GIT.
Both David and Dennis graduated with Honors 2007. During the last
month of their time in Hollywood, they put out a add for musicians to
a heavy metal band on a Swedish music site. They got in touch with a
guy called Lillen (Andreas Larsson). Lillen had previously played in
various band (Skandal, Biggus diggus) but didn't sing in any band at
the time. Lillen also knew a guy called Hammar, who played guitar in
a band called Killer system, but he could also played the bas.
They played their first gig at Ubbes 40 years party the 4th of July.
But it wasn't until late July they got hold of Uno. David and Dennis
was studying in the same elementary school with Uno as kids, so they
knew that he could play the drums.
The new Twins Crew as it looks today, started out in August 2007.
The first EP (Twins Crew) was recorded in January 2008 in Deep blue
studio over a period of 2 days. Most of the songs were recorded
live. The EP was released in march same year and received great
reviews world wide.
The band played a lot of shows during 2008. One of them was Iron
maidens pre and after party arrange by Iron maidens Scandinavia
fanclub during iron maidens concert at the stockholm stadium july
2008.
The recording of their second EP ,Twin demon, started January 2009
in standstraight studio. It's going to be released in march this
year.
The music of Twins crew can be describe as Heavy metal in the style
of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and helloween but with a modern touch to it.
